Sewer Scopes

What is a sewer scope? Why should I get one done? What can I expect?

  1. The purpose of a sewer scope inspection is to determine the condition of the property's sewer line and to determine if the system is functioning as designed.

  2. Sewer scope inspection can reveal damage to the pipes, blockages, tree root intrusions, pipe offsets and more.

  3. A sewer scope inspection uses a video attached to a snake-like cable to examine the home's sewer line. We have 3 different types of camera reels to use to get the job done. We also use a tablet that's linked to our monitor device so we can show you the video and pictures on site.

WHAT IS RADON?

  • Radon is a radioactive gas formed from the natural decay of uranium, which is found in varying concentrations in most rock and soil. Humans can be exposed to radon gas as it migrates through soil into the air and concentrates in enclosed spaces.

  • Facts about radon: Radon is dangerous. It is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking, and the primary cause of lung cancer in non-smokers. When smokers are exposed to radon, their risks are magnified.

  • Radon gas is estimated to be linked to 3 percent to 14 percent of all lung cancers worldwide.

  • Radon is measured in picocuries per liter of air (pCi/L). The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends installing a mitigation system if levels in a home are 4 pCi/L or above. If 1,000 smokers were exposed to this level over a lifetime, about 62 of them could get lung cancer. If 1,000 nonsmokers were exposed to the same level, about 7 people would be expected to get lung cancer.

  •  The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends mitigation at 2.7 pCi/L.dding an image for extra engagement.
